About Cardiodrome

A browser simulator for placing a generic transvalvular microaxial flow pump across the aortic valve of a 3D heart and checking its position the way you would in practice. Fluoroscopy at any C-arm angle, a parasternal long-axis echo view and a console with waveforms and alarms all follow the pump, so you can see that a pump sitting too deep, too shallow or malrotated can leave the console looking normal. Six guided cases each end in a written debrief, and a separate coronary angiography module has 21 guided views.

What it does

  • Advance, withdraw and rotate the pump in 1 mm steps under a virtual C-arm
  • Simulated fluoroscopy at six preset projections or any angle
  • Parasternal long-axis echo with depth caliper and color Doppler
  • Console waveforms and alarms that change with position and P-level
  • Six guided malposition cases, each with a checklist and debrief
  • Coronary angiography module with 21 guided views and SYNTAX segments
